FESTIVAL EVENT MANAGER

Salary: £23,000 to £28,000 (depending on experience) plus substantial bonus and career progression.

Location: Cardiff, Wales – Role involves UK wide travel

Role: Full time (37.5hrs pcw)

Start date: 2nd September

Street Food Warehouse is a diverse and unique street food brand, and events company, based in Cardiff. Running an annual UK tour of mouth-watering street food festival events, our team make it their mission to deliver unforgettable food and experiences for everyone.

Our 9 existing UK wide events focus around 15 – 30 different street food traders, a bar area, seating and a live/DJ music offering. Our events have received reviews from the likes of the Metro, BBC Radio 2, Tripadvisor, WalesOnline and many more. 

We are looking for a full time Festival Event Manager to start at the beginning of September. We are offering a salary of £23,000 to £28,000 (depending on experience), a bonus structure and use of company vehicles.The role is an office based role in Cardiff, however regular UK wide travel for site visits and meetings is required. During festival season, you will be expected to attend each festival from load in to site clearance which will require being away for 3-5 nights at a time in some cases – accommodation will be provided. 

The role is fun and diverse – and involves identifying new territories/site locations; meeting local authorities, private land owners and corporate clients; arranging site visits; attending Safety Advisory Group meetings;  managing Health & Safety documentation; organising suppliers and managing and executing large scale events successfully.You’ll also be responsible for curating the Street Food line ups at each event, so will need to have an interest in trying new foods, and building relationships with vendors. 

The ideal candidate will be able to manage a small team and execute our existing festival events, whilst using their initiative to grow the events in to new territories/locations. The successful candidate should be able to make innovative contributions to the events – we’re always looking at ways to grow and improve our offering. We’d like to find someone with a confident and outgoing nature who has excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

The Street Food Warehouse portfolio has grown to be a major player within the UK street food festival world, whilst also providing event services to some major UK corporate brands.

Candidates MUST have the following;

  • Minimum 1 – 3 years experience in a senior/decision making role within event management; 
  • Experience in producing health & safety documentation;
  • Degree level qualification; 
  • A full, clean driver’s license.
